Flip Brown entered the world of work (and began his lessons about it) at the age of twelve in his father’s independent grocery store. He went on to become a woodworker, a ski mechanic, an international business dude, a graduate student, an author, a mobile crisis team member, a nonprofit program director, a psychologist, an executive coach, a team facilitator, and a gigging musician, and has remained a lifelong learner and experience seeker.

Flip has a BA in Transpersonal Psychology from Burlington College and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School (now Antioch University New England). He has served as Adjunct Faculty at Antioch and Champlain College. He has had the privilege of learning from a number of gifted mentors, including the staff at the Jung Institute in Zurich, and Daniel Goleman, Edgar Schein, Marshall Goldsmith, Meg Wheatley, Roz and Ben Zander, and others. He serves on a small team working with David Whyte on his model of Conversational Leadership.

In 2000 he founded Business Culture Consultants, and it remains a solo practice assisting organizational owners, leaders, and managers to understand, change, and sustain their patterns of interaction and behavior. Put another way—he helps good people in great organizations get better results by having the conversations they really need to have but haven’t figured out how to have on their own yet!

Business Culture Consultants (BCC) has been a longtime member of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, was the fifth Certified B Corp in Vermont, and is a very active member of the Social Venture Network, where Flip serves as an Ambassador. BCC was recently listed as one of the top 10 percent of all B Corps in the area of Community Impact.
